The Dabney Promise Program is open to ALL DSLCC students; high school, continuing, non-traditional and nursing. The Dabney Promise Program is a need based scholarship that helps to remove the financial barriers of attending DSLCC. In addition, the Dabney Promise mayhelp to pay for the cost of books.
Applications for Dabney Promise are typically accepted December through February each year and can be found here. Students are required to complete the DSLCC Educational Foundation scholarship application, and all requested materials, including the FAFSA, by the application deadline in order to be considered for Dabney Promise.
Acceptance into the program is based on the level of need and current available funding. Students are required to maintain a minimum 2.25 GPA, be enrolled a minimum of 9 credit hours (with a maximum of 15 credit hours) per semester, complete 8 hours of community service each fall, complete an SDV class within the first semester of enrollment, and be a resident of the College’s service area.
