The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) provides instructional pathways for craft/trade education and certification. The Core Curriculum is the prerequisite to all other NCCER Level 1 craft programs. With modules in Safety, Construction Math, Hand and Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Rigging, Materials Handling, and Communication/Employability Skills, this introductory course provides you the basic skills you need to continue on for certification in any NCCER craft.
Trainee Requirement Details
Coursework includes 48 hours of classroom/lab training and 48 hours of online homework and activities. No academic or experience prerequisites. Eighth-grade competence in reading and mathematics is recommended.
