This course is designed to help you obtain your Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) as quickly as possible. The program includes two full days of classroom lecture and hands-on practical training in preparation for the written Class B General Knowledge Test and the Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection practical test. Road Safety is covered in-depth, with emphasis on Risk Assessment, Hazard Avoidance, Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection and Driver’s Daily Logs.
After passing the DMV Class B General Knowledge Test and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, students will contact instructors to schedule thirteen (13) hours of one-on-one training, which includes Behind-the-Wheel vehicle operation, Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection, and intensive Backing Drills. Once the student and instructor are confident of student readiness, instructor will schedule a test date and accompany the student in a DSLCC vehicle to the DMV testing site for the test.
