Why Choose Dabney S. Lancaster
Community College (DSLCC)?

Quality education that you can afford

Staring at a large tuition bill and don't know how you're going to pay it? Consider the advantages of attending DSLCC.

Community colleges remain the best bargain for higher education in Virginia. Tuition and fees for in-state students is only $81.35 per credit hour, considerably less than four-year schools, where tuition, fees and the cost of room and board continue to rise at most other colleges throughout the state and nation.

The first step in a four-year education

DSLCC students who successfully complete a transfer program in Business Administration, Education, General Studies or Science are off to a solid start in reaching their goal of earning a bachelor's degree. Working with an advisior, students select the appropriate college to which they plan to transfer, taking into consideration their major field of study, location of the four-year institution and financial status. Many credit hours at DSLCC are transferable to Virginia universities such as William and Mary, JMU, Radford, UVA and Virginia Tech.
