Administration of Justice Program
Dabney S. Lancaster Community College is committed to meeting the need
for well-trained employees in the criminal justice field. Carefully chosen content-specific
courses are balanced with appropriate general education course requirements.
Students may select from a variety of options at the certificate and associate
degree level. Students who wish to continue on to earn a bachelors degree may wish to discuss
their plans with an academic advisor or the program head when they are selecting the courses
in which to enroll each semester.

Program Requirements
Approximately two-thirds of the program consists of courses in law enforcement, with
remaining courses in related areas, general education and electives. Instruction will include both the theoretical concepts and
practical applications needed for future success in law enforcement or related activities. Upon satisfactory completion of the
curriculum with an overall 2.0 GPA ("C" average) in all applicable courses, individuals will be awarded the A.A.S. Degree with a
major in Administration of Justice.
