First Citizens Banks Small Business/Entrepreneurial  Scholarship

This Scholarship was established by First Citizens Banks to provide assistance with tuition and/or book expenses for students attending Dabney S. Lancaster Community College to seek training/education in business.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Be a graduate of an accredited high school in the State of Virginia and a resident of the DSLCC service area
   
   
2. Be seeking small business entrepreneurial training
   
   
3. Be already in engaged in a business or seeking to start a new business
   
   
4. Include a short essay explaining how the course(s) you are pursuing at DSLCC will help you in your current business or in one you hope to establish
   
   
5. Include a short essay explaining your career goals--where do you see yourself in five years?
   
   
6. Include two letters of recommendation (letters from family members are not acceptable)
   
   
7. Include your official high school or college transcript
   
   
   

YOU MUST ENSURE THAT YOUR APPLICATION, ALONG WITH YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT AND TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION (OTHER THAN FAMILY MEMBERS) ARE RECEIVED BY THE FOUNDATION OFFICE NO LATER THAN MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2009 YOUR APPLICATION MAY BE PRINTED AND DELIVERED IN PERSON OR MAILED TO THE ADDRESS BELOW.
