Sir Richard Branson In Live Broadcast at DSLCC

A live video broadcast featuring Sir Richard Branson, internationally known entrepreneur and humanitarian, will be aired on Tuesday, October 17, at 6:30 pm at the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista, and also on the DSLCC Clifton Forge campus in Room 202, Backels Hall. The broadcast is free and open to the public.

This is the second installment of the 2017-2018 multi-speaker broadcast series sponsored by the National Society of Leadership and Success and hosted by the DSLCC chapter, which was organized last year. The speaker broadcast series, which will reach more than 520 college campuses each month during the academic year, is designed to support the society’s overall mission of Building Leaders Who Make a Better World.

Branson is the founder of the Virgin Group, a leading international investment group and one of the world’s most recognized and respected brands. Conceived in 1970, the Virgin Group has gone on to grow successful businesses in sectors including mobile telephony, travel and transportation, financial services, leisure and entertainment and health and wellness.

In 2004, Branson established Virgin Unite, the non-profit foundation of the Virgin Group, which unites people and entrepreneurial ideas to create businesses that will make a positive difference in the world. Branson’s current focus is working with Virgin Unite and organizations it has incubated, such as The Elders, The Carbon War Room, The B Team, Ocean Unite and Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship. Branson also serves on the Global Commission on Drug Policy and supports ocean conservation with the Ocean Elders.
