DSLCC attends FEMA training

Five employees from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College attended Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) training in Lynchburg, January 28-30.  The training was centered around preparations for multi-hazard emergencies for higher education and covered the planning involved that an organization would need to have in place to deal with natural and man-made disasters that could occur at any time.  Attendees included employees of four community colleges, a private university, several departments of police and fire responders, and a regional office of the Virginia Department of Health.  DSLCC employees who participated were, from left: Director of Student Services Matt McGraw; Director of Technical Services Tamra Lipscomb; Presidential Assistant Gail Johnson; Vice President for Financial and Administrative Services Angie Graham; and AV Specialist William Ould.

Graham also serves as Emergency Coordination Officer and Ould is Coordinator for the Campus Community Emergency Response Team (CCERT). For more information contact Graham at (540) 863-2806 or email agraham@nulldslcc.edu.
