Five employees from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College attended Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) training in Lynchburg, January 28-30. The training was centered around preparations for multi-hazard emergencies for higher education and covered the planning involved that an organization would need to have in place to deal with natural and man-made disasters that could occur at any time. Attendees included employees of four community colleges, a private university, several departments of police and fire responders, and a regional office of the Virginia Department of Health. DSLCC employees who participated were, from left: Director of Student Services Matt McGraw; Director of Technical Services Tamra Lipscomb; Presidential Assistant Gail Johnson; Vice President for Financial and Administrative Services Angie Graham; and AV Specialist William Ould.
