Nursing Student Association
The DSLCC NSA is an association comprised of pre-nursing and currently enrolled nursing students. Our purpose is to promote professional growth and develop nursing students, to provide opportunities for members to be involved in health care activities, to aid in the development of the whole person, his or her professional role, and his or her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life.
We accomplish this through volunteer works, networking, and gatherings that aid in the formation of helping relationships among members and with the community. Activities we have done in the past include: volunteering at local free clinics, BP screenings, donations of canned goods and clothing, providing entertainment and treats for local long-term care facilities and fund-raising to attend state and national student nursing association conventions.
Upcoming events include: annual VNSA convention and NSNA Convention. The NSA proudly sponsors DSLCC Nursing Program capping, pinning and graduation ceremonies.
