Delayed Start Term


To meet the needs of working adults as well as students who have miss the standard semester start date, DSLCC offers a Delay Start Term that offers a variety of general education courses in a hybrid format. In order to reduce trips to campus, classes in the Delayed Start Term meet face-to-face once a week in the evening for 12 weeks and incorporate online learning experiences.

Students enrolling the delayed start semester will attend an orientation held at the start of the semester to provide training in how to use Blackboard and other online resources require for this term.

Students should know that all Delayed Start Classes are hybrid courses and require considerable time outside of class to complete online assignment.

The orientation is required for all late start term students.  Students who are unable to attend the orientation should contact Nova Wright,, 540-863-2868.
