Placement Testing Schedule

Placement tests are scheduled throughout the year, including evenings and Saturdays, on the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College (DSLCC) main campus in Clifton Forge and at the Rockbridge Regional Center (RRC) in Buena Vista. Placement tests are available by appointment only. There is no fee to take the DSLCC placement test. Your photo ID and social security number are all that is required to take the test. Please call 540-863-2815 or toll free 1-877-73-DSLCC (1-877-733-7522) to schedule your appointment for the placement test.
A current credit admissions application is required before you can take the Compass Placement Test. Your Social Security Number will no longer be used on the Compass Placement Test. April 1, 2010 you will use your student identification number to test. You will receive your Student Id number when you apply online. If you have a current credit application for DSLCC or another VCCS school you may use that Student Id to take the placement test. If you do no have a current credit application on file before taking placement test you will not be able to take the placement test or register for classes. Students have three business days prior to any Compass Placement Testing date to sign up a test and fill out a credit admissions application. Credit admissions applications are available at www.dslcc.edu. Please contact Student Services at 540-863-2820 if you have questions.
