Job Placement Assistance and Career Services

DSLCC offers job placement assistance and career services for students. Help is available for individuals who are planning to select or change a career path. Assistance is available with taking assessments, selecting a major, and preparing to search for a job. For an appointment to explore careers, develop resumes and cover letters, and prepare for job interviews, contact Carol Corson at 540/863-2914 or ccorson@dslcc.edu. Free workshops on specific career-related topics are held throughout the academic year.

Students are also invited to view the various career planning resources that are available in the Learning Resources Center on the main campus. Staff members are available to assist students who are seeking assistance with career exploration, developing job search materials and locating information about employment opportunities in specific fields.
