Scholarship Searches

There are many ways to search for scholarships.  There are many books available in the library.  The quickest and easiest way is to use the Internet.

The Internet’s largest free scholarship search is fastweb.com

Fastweb is free.  If you find other searchers on the web be sure you only use the free searches.  You should never have to pay for this service.

The Virginia Business and Professional Women's Foundation offers the Career Advancement Scholarship, an umbrella for three different and distinct scholarships for women:

Karen B. Lewis Scholarship: offered to girs and women (18 years of age or older) pursuing post-secondary, job-oriented career education, offering training in business, trade and industrial occupations.

Women in Science & Technology Scholarship: provides financial assistance to women (18 years of age or older) within two years of earning a bachelor's master's or doctoral degree in the sciences or a technology field.

Buena M. Chesshir Memorial Women's Educational Scholarship: provides financial assistance to increase the skills of mature women (25 years of age or
older) employed or seeking employment in the workforce.
