Biography: Sam Benke is currently the Department Head for the Information Systems Technology program at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge, Virginia. He currently holds various industry certifications including; CCNA, CCDA, CCAI, MCSA, Security+, Network+, A+. Sam has been working in the I.T. field for 12 years. He recently worked as a network consultant for a private firm outside of St. Louis, MO servicing educational and private network infrastructures. Previously he was the Technology Director for a public school system in Central Missouri as well as having taught five years at State Fair Community College and two years at a Vocational Technical School in Missouri. Sam holds a B.S. in Business Marketing and continues his education with courses in Information Technology. Sam enjoys the pace of technology and educating students in this high demand field. Sam Benke resides in Lexington, VA with his wife Clarice and four children.
