Have you wanted to learn word processing in a relaxed environment? Here’s your chance! This 7-week class will be self-paced and project-based. Projects are fun and are designed to meet your personal needs and for volunteer work that you might do. They include learning to format letters, envelopes, flyers, multi-page documents and tables. Ability to keyboard is helpful but not essential. Students should have prior computer knowledge:  how to use a mouse and drop-down menus, save a file and a few other basic skills (these can be acquired through the Intro to Computers class.) Cost: $70, plus the textbook, “Welcome to Microsoft Word 2003”, available in the DSLCC bookstore.
