Spring Arts, Crafts Classes

Easter Floral Design

Tuesday, April 4

6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

DSLCC main campus

Instructor: Catherine Smith

Tuition: $25, plus $10 materials fee

Course #: ARTS 1101-61

Brighten up your holiday table with a floral arrangement you create yourself! In these two classes (see Spring Wreath-Making below) you will learn the basics of floral arranging using live greenery as well as silk flowers. You will also learn the 1-2-3’s of bow making. This class will make floral arranging fun. Please bring your own container and a glue gun, if you have one. Everything else will be supplied. If you have some silk flowers and would like to use them, bring those, also.

Instructor Cate Smith, who holds a degree in art from Chicago State University, was owner of Cate’s Emporium Craft Shop in Clifton Forge, as well as Cateswear, a self-designed line of clothing. She has been sewing, crafting and creating since the age of nine and has shared her talents in art courses and seminars at Three Graces, a craft shop in Botetourt County. She has conducted several arts and crafts classes for DSLCC.

Contact Judy Clark, Non-Credit Coordinator, at 540-863-2873 or email jclark@dslcc.edu to register. Or please print and complete the Non-Credit Registration Form, and fax to 540-863-2928 or mail to DSLCC, P. O. Box 1000, Clifton Forge, VA 24422
