This course is designed for individuals with little or no computer experience. Learn simple word processing, some software applications, e-mail and surf the Internet. Some basic keyboarding may also be included, depending on the students’ ability level. After this course, you won’t be intimidated by your computer! The instructor has had many years of experience teaching computer keyboarding. *The textbook, Welcome to the World of Computers, may be purchased in  the DSLCC Bookstore.

This course is a continuation of the Introduction to Computers I course, also taught by Ed Mays. Persons who have a very fundamental knowledge of computers but do not know anything about Excel or PowerPoint and wish to learn the basic functions of these programs are encouraged to register as well. *The textbook, Easy Microsoft Office 2003 by Que Publishing, may be purchased at the Rockbridge Center prior to the class. The same textbook is used for both Intro I and Intro II courses.
