Intermediate Digital Image Editing

Mondays, April 17-May 15

6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Room 504, DSLCC Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Services (main campus, Clifton Forge)

Tuition: $85

Instructor: Chuck Almarez

Textbook: Adobe Photoshop 3.0 Classroom in Book ($44, available in the DSLCC Bookstore)

This course is designed for students who have already taken the Digital Imaging & Magic Course or the weekend Digital Darkroom course  and want to continue to refine their techniques and learn more about the art and science of image editing. The course will review much of what was previously covered, such as image selection techniques, exposure and color corrections, the use of layers and masking, etc. We will go into more depth in each of these areas and will also concentrate on image restoration, adding emphasis to your finished photo, and creating multiple images and collages. This will be a good refresher class on image editing and it will go deeper into the magic and power of Photoshop Elements 3.
