Introduction to Esthetic Technology

One-Day Seminar Features Information Skin Care Technology

This is an introduction to the field of esthetics. Estheticians are skin care specialists and consultants. This day-long seminar will include education about skin care, from basic facials to learning various types of technology, such as exfoliation, chemical peels, microderm abrasions, and micro current technology. There will also be information available about different products, as well as the business side of the field.

The instructor, Mare Scott, is owner and operator of "Skin Is In", a Rockbridge County salon. She attended the Columbus Medical Skin Care Institute in 2001 and is a licensed esthetician in Washingotn, DC, and West Virginia.

(DSLCC is preparing to offer training classes that will assist individuals who wish to prepare for the licensure requirements that will go into effect in July, 2007, for those who practice skin care skills in Virginia.)
