These scholarships were established through a gift from the Nettleton Foundation in memory of Miss Nettleton, an astute business woman who was a vital force in the Covington community for many years. A graduate of Randolph Macon Women's College, Miss Nettleton was the co-owner and manager of Nettleton, Inc., and served as the acting City Manager for the city of covington in 1974. She was the first woman to be named Virginia Retailer of the Year, to be elected president of the Virginia Building Materials Assocaition and to serve on a local bank board of directors. |
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be enrolled in a DLSCC Business Curriculum working toward one of the following: transfer, assoicate degree, or
certificate
2. Submit an essay explaining your career goals--where do you see yourself in five years?
3. Submit official transcript from last educational institution or copy of GED Certificate
4. Include two letters of recommendation (letters from family members are not acceptable)
5. Include a signed Information Release Form--click here.
